March 11, 2019 – Printing on a cloudy day..

The weather in Arizona this winter has been cloudy, raining and even snowy. It’s hard to do work when my process relies heavily on the sun. Yesterday I spent the morning preparing my paper and some linen in hopes that I would be able to print while the sun was shining. Quickly the clouds set in and I decided to wait until today to give it a try. The sun was out earlier but once again the clouds have decided to visit. I know that uva rays are still powerful even on a cloudy day so I decided to see how much time I need to leave some linen out to develop instead.

The first print was left outside for 25 minutes and the second one for 40 minutes.
